About the Visit York Pass

The Visit York Pass gives entry to over 50 attractions and exclusive offers. See our attraction pages for full details on what is included. 

Save money on individual attraction tickets by purchasing one digital Visit York Pass that grants access to over 50 attractions and exclusive offers. 

Simply present your digital Visit York Pass at the entrance of each attraction you wish to visit. The Visit York Pass is activated at the first attraction visited. The more you visit, the more you save! Read more here.
The one day and two day passes are valid for calendar days only. Three day passes can be used any three days out of six.

Child passes are suitable for children aged 5-16 years inclusive. Please note some York attractions are free entry to children under 16 years old and we recommend you check the individual attraction pages for reference.

Child York Pass holders must be accompanied by an Adult York Pass holder (aged 17 and above) when visiting attractions.

The Visit York Pass is not a fast track pass. During busy periods such as weekends and school holidays, we would recommend visiting flagship attractions either earlier or later in the day. Wait times may vary.

Purchasing the Visit York Pass

Visit York Passes can be purchased online or upon arrival to York at the Visitor Information Centre located at 21 Parliament Street, York, YO1 8SG.  Visit York Passes are not named so are perfect to purchase as a gift.

We do not offer group discount, as city centre attractions do not accept groups of 8 or more with Visit York Passes. Trade rates found here.

We offer one complimentary Visit York Pass for a carer with proof of status including but not limited to PIP, DWP or Carer’s Allowance documentation. Once you have purchased your Visit York Pass, please email your carer pass request with proof of status and purchase to info@visityork.org and we will issue your complimentary Visit York Carer Pass. This process can also be completed when visiting our Visit York Information Centre.

The Visit York Pass is valid for up to one year after purchase. The Visit York Pass is non-refundable. Cancellation cover can be purchased for £5 per order – covering a full refund minus cancellation cover. 

Using the Visit York Pass

Please note that the following attractions require pre-booking: York Cocoa Works, The Hilt, Treasurer’s House and York Dungeon. Full instructions can be found on their attraction pages. For non-bookable attractions, wait times may vary.

York’s six Park & Ride services allow you to travel to York by car, park for free in secure car parks* and complete your journey into the city centre by bus. Park & Ride buses are frequent, low-floor and wheelchair accessible.
