Terms and Conditions
These Terms & Conditions constitute the agreement between you and Make It York Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). By purchasing or using a Visit York Pass or accessing yorkpass.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Definitions & Interpretation
In these Terms & Conditions:

“Pass” means the Visit York Pass purchased by you.
“Attraction” means any participating venue listed as part of the Visit York Pass scheme.
“Website” means yorkpass.com and any associated domains operated by Make It York Ltd.
“We”, “us”, “our” refers to Make It York Ltd.
“You”, “your”, “user” refers to the person purchasing or using the Pass.

Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.

Using Your Visit York Pass
Simply present your Visit York Pass at each participating attraction. Staff will scan or log your pass code and admit you.

Please note:

The Visit York Pass is not a fast-track pass.
You may only use your pass once per attraction.
The Visit York Pass is not valid for same-day return visits to any attraction.
Passes purchased online are non-transferable and non-refundable unless cancellation cover is purchased.
Your pass is on the activation date inputted on your digital web application and remains valid according to the duration purchased.

Pass Validity
1, 2 and 3 Day Visit York Passes operate by calendar day, not 24-hour periods.
The 2 Day Pass is valid on two consecutive calendar days.
The 3 Day Pass is valid on any three days within six consecutive days.
Once purchased, your Visit York Pass is valid for 12 months from date of purchase if unused.

Opening Times & Attraction Availability
Opening times and availability may change. It is the responsibility of the Pass holder to check directly with each attraction before visiting.

During periods of:

maintenance
temporary exhibitions
special events
capacity limitations
general closures
an attraction may not be accessible. This does not entitle the Pass holder to a refund, in whole or in part.

Pricing & Payment
All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to amend prices at any time without prior notice.

In the event of a pricing or typographical error, we reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order placed at the incorrect price and issue a full refund where payment has been taken.

Payment must be made in full at the time of purchase using the payment methods available on the Website.

We are not responsible for any bank charges or transaction fees incurred by the purchaser.

Responsibility & Liability
Make It York Ltd has taken reasonable care to ensure that participating attractions are reputable and of good standing. However:

We are not responsible for the conditions, services, health and safety, or quality of experience at any attraction.
All visits are undertaken voluntarily and entirely at your own risk.
Any complaints or claims must be made directly to the attraction concerned.
We shall not be liable for any loss, damage, expense or inconvenience suffered due to refusal of entry, attraction closure, or changes in services.

Make It York Ltd shall not be liable for:

inaccuracies in attraction information
omissions or misinterpretations
loss of enjoyment
indirect or consequential loss
business or profit loss
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Right to Refuse or Withdraw Service
We reserve the right to refuse entry, suspend, or cancel a Visit York Pass without refund if:

the Pass is misused, altered, shared or resold
false or misleading information is provided
these Terms & Conditions are breached
fraud or attempted fraud is suspected
Any such action will be at our sole discretion.

Non-Transferability
The Visit York Pass is issued for personal, non-commercial use only and may not be transferred, resold, or shared. Any attempt to do so will invalidate the pass without refund.

Cancellations & Refunds
Visit York Passes are non-refundable unless optional cancellation cover has been purchased at checkout.

You must provide:

Order number
Purchase date
Name and address
Email address
Date of cancellation
No refunds will be issued once a pass has been activated or used.

Lost or stolen passes will not be replaced or refunded.

Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance of our obligations where such failure results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

severe weather
pandemics or public health emergencies
government restrictions
strikes or industrial action
closure of attractions for safety or operational reasons
Such events do not entitle the Pass holder to a refund in whole or in part.

Complaints & Dispute Resolution
Any complaints regarding the purchase of the Visit York Pass should be submitted in writing to:

Complaints must be made within 14 days of the issue arising and must include the order number and details of the complaint.

Complaints regarding services or experiences at attractions must be directed to the attraction concerned.

We will endeavour to acknowledge complaints within 5 working days and respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Whilst every reasonable effort is made to ensure accuracy, Make It York Ltd does not guarantee that information on this Website is complete, current, or error-free.

We disclaim liability for any injury, loss or damage arising from:

Entire Agreement
These Terms & Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Make It York Ltd and supersede any prior agreements, representations or understandings, whether written or oral.

Changes to These Terms
We may amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without notice. Updated versions will be published on this Website. Continued use of the Website or Pass constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
