We got the two day pass and we squeezed in so much. We visited loads of attractions and enjoyed every one of them. We visited places we probably wouldn't... read more have paid full price for but thought we may as well go as it was paid for so this meant we looked at the fun stuff, skipped past the boring bits and didn't feel guilty about it!! The final bus route starts at about 4pm so careful not to expect one later. We tried to book ahead on most attractions but you don't really need to, and it can be done the same day if you want to be sure to get in. Our highlights were York Dungeon, Boat tour and Castle museum. We saved around £65 each over 2 days and had the best time.
Wonderful resource, I would recommend going with the two or three day option to get the most out of the pass. We had to reschedule a few outings and were... read more able to do so without issue.

We recently travelled to York for a few days away and bought a 2 day pass. When your buy the pass you select the month you want to use it... read more and it only becomes valid when it is first used. My advice would be to look at what you want to do, make notes on availability and then book depending on what you can fit in when. We managed most of the more expensive attractions apart from the river cruise which was cancelled due to high winds and water levels. Saved us quite a bit of money for a family of 3, plus we managed a few extra places that we hadn't booked. Definitely worth the price.
Worth every penny, saves a good crunch of money! We just got a 1 day pass. We didn't do as much as we wanted but still saved quite a bit
I honestly cannot recommend this enough. We saved at least £60 per person with this pass and it kept us so busy! Along with attractions, you get a free pizza/pasta... read more at Ask Italian, a 24 hour hop on and off tour, and an hour canal cruise. Fantastic value for money!!
I will absolutely be using this again next time we are back!
We bought a 3 day pass on sale and whilst we didn’t get to visit any of the attractions outside of York city, we definitely saved a lot compared to... read more purchasing individual attraction tickets plus Jorvik tickets are valid for 12 months so you can return for free. We planned about 10 days in advance and booked all the attractions you can pre-book - some of them you have to turn up eg City Sightseeing Bus and River Cruise but we had no problem getting on both of those. We also decided to visit the Van Gough Immersion experience on the spur of the moment and got in straight away - amazing experience highly recommend. We covered 10 city centre attractions over about 48 hours plus free lunch at Ask Italian. Some of the attractions we were glad we didn’t pay full price as whilst they were good their full price was quite expensive. We really enjoyed our visit to York and I can’t recommend the pass enough especially if you want to pack in as much sightseeing as you can. If driving I also recommend the York Commuter car park next to the railway museum which is much cheaper than NCP.
At the moment most attractions needs to be booked in advance, this can be done online or via email to the attractions.
If you plan your visit and get... read more organised it’s such great value, it’s a logistical challenge but well worth a few hours planning before hand.
Me and my 10 year old daughter had a 2 day pass and managed to save a small fortune visiting many attractions including Jorvik centre, York Dungeons, The City Bus, City Cruise, Van Gough immersive experience, York Chocolate Story and Clifford Tower. Keeping my daughter entertained non-stop for 48hrs.
I had a problem pre booking one of the attractions but Elaine from York Pass was able to resolve this quickly, outstanding service!
Would definitely use again!
Brought a two day York Pass, which is good value if you do at least 3 places a day. The Hop On Hop Off bus is only for 24 hrs... read more from when you activate the ticket on a bus, so not 48hrs as you'd expect?. The Brewery is totally closed which we only found out when we tried to find it? The little Land Train to the Railway Museum is only 1 way. The free Pizza is only between 3 & 5 o'clock. Everything else seemed to work okay.
