Yes – the following attractions require pre-booking: York Cocoa Works, The Hilt, Treasurer’s House and York Dungeons. Full instructions can be found on their attraction pages. For non-bookable attractions, wait times may vary.

The Visit York pass gives entry to 25+ York and Beyond attractions. There are also YP Extra Benefits available to those who hold a pass.

We do not offer Group Discount as city centre attractions do not accept groups of 8 or more with York Passes. For bulk purchase and trade rates, please see our trade page.

We offer one complimentary Visit York Pass for a carer with proof of status. This can be presented at the Visitor Information Centre.

Child passes are suitable for children aged 5-16 years inclusive. Please note some York attractions are free entry to children under 16 years old and we recommend you check the individual attraction pages for reference.

The Visit York Pass is valid for up to a year after purchase. The Visit York Pass is non-refundable. You can purchase cancellation cover for £5 per order – this covers a full refund on unused passes should you find yourself no longer able to visit.

The Visit York Pass is not a fast track pass. During holiday periods, we would recommend visiting flagship attractions either earlier or later in the day. Wait times may vary.

York’s six Park & Ride services allow you to travel to York by car, park for free in secure car parks* and complete your journey into the city centre by bus. Park & Ride buses are frequent, low-floor and wheelchair-accessible. Fares are low with up to two children under 16 travelling free when accompanied by a fare-paying adult. All Park & Ride sites and buses are equipped with free WiFi.
